We offer a different kind of dog boarding experience we think you and your dog will love.
There are many dog boarding facilities out there that focus only on providing a safe place for your dog to be when you have to go out of town on business or vacation. Here at Sublime K9 Training & Boarding, our primary focus is on dog training where your dog stays with us while we get them trained for you. Dog boarding is part of the board & train process in this case. However, we do offer regular dog boarding when space allows.
Our dog boarding experience includes as many let outs as your dog needs, and if your dog is social, it also includes plenty of supervised playtime with other dogs! You must pack your dog’s own food. All dogs must be current on all vaccines, including kennel cough.
Our kennel runs are indoor only and 4 ft by 4 ft. Each has its own raised dog bed for comfort, and blankets are welcome as long as your dog does not chew them. We chose to do indoor only kennels because giving your dog the outdoor option can create a bad habit of allowing your dog to use the bathroom inside the kennel. Our boarded dogs spend most of their time outside of their kennel, socializing and playing. Kennel time is for down time, feeding times, and bed time! We want your dog’s stress levels and energy levels low, so we strive to make your dog’s boarding experience fun!

At Sublime K9 Training & Boarding, we offer a unique spin on dog boarding that benefits both you and your dog. In traditional dog boarding settings, the priority is to keep your dog safe until you return. However, when you use our services, your dog receives an additional training element, as dog boarding is part of our board & train process. What qualifications do you have to offer dog boarding?
Two members of our team are Certified Dog Obedience Instructors, having graduated from Animal Behavior College. Additionally, we attend yearly seminars to remain current with our education. Our owner also worked as a K9 officer for six years and a zoo trainer.
What should I bring when my dog is boarding with you?
All you need to do is pack their own food. You can also pack their favorite blanket, as long as they don’t chew on it. Also, we will need proof of their vaccinations, including kennel cough.
Can any dog be boarded?
As mentioned, dogs need to be up to date on their vaccinations and disease-free at the time of boarding. If your dog has specific medical issues or you’re concerned about behavior issues, talk to our team to assess their eligibility.
How should I prepare my dog for boarding?
Think about what would make you feel better about staying in a new place and apply that to how you prepare your dog. For instance, if possible, introduce your dog to our facility in advance. In addition, it’s important for you to remain composed, as dogs can sense fear and might react negatively when dropped off.
What happens during dog boarding?
The dogs who board with us spend a lot of time outside their kennels socializing with other dogs and our team. We only use the kennels for downtime, feeding, and bedtime.

Sublime K9 Training and Boarding is the best. Our dog, Charlie had a biting history and was just out of control. Charlie’s trainer was Kayla and part of their 4 week board and train. After the four weeks, he knew his commands and is now so much more manageable. I once had someone tell me if Kayla could not train him, he couldn’t be trained. She always sent daily updates and he was even able to go on some field trips. I would highly recommend them for any training that your dog needs. They also offer different programs including daycare and boarding. They are really the best and Charlie received training and also lots of love.

I brought my 1 yr old golden retriever pup to Sublime for a 4 week board and train with Nichole! He had some behavioral issues and had a tough time listening to commands. But after training he came home a new man!! I can finally walk him in the leash, get him to stop play biting, and count on him to listen to commands. Kayla is absolutely amazing!! She took care of our Milo (Golden-doodle) for 4 weeks for a board and train and he is a completely different dog. He came in for jumping, not listening, pulling on leash, potty accidents, and many more and they have all been fixed! Kayla communicated with us everyday and made the process so easy! We can’t thank Sublime enough!Our dog Jaden was extremely anxious and reactive until Mellisa trained him. She is an angel and very professional but also caring. Jaden was very odd with his anxiety and a super tough nut to crack. He was unable to walk into new territory. He couldn’t even walk out the front door. He only accepted the back door and if there were any noises or sudden movements, he’d pull us inside! He was constantly anxious unless he was in his crate. We knew he had potential to listen, but we couldn’t navigate where to begin with training since we couldn’t get him outside or to stay outside despite the delicious treats we tried bribing him with. We were at a complete loss and knew he was suffering not being able to relax, especially with us getting frustrated at ourselves for not know how to help him!We brought him in October 2023 for the 4 week board and train at Melissa’s place.When I tell you she’s an angel, I mean it. She has a heart of gold and patience of a saint. She updated us along the way and informed us about what she was teaching and how he’s learning best. She learned him as well and understood his quirks. He got to play with her dogs, get his energy out and then focus on Melissa for learning. He had a great mix of fun and education.They let him settle in at first and get the slumber party jitters out then the hard work came into play. He learned obedience, listening, and most importantly confidence. With the confidence growing, his anxious habits slipped away. When she sent us his first progress video, I could have cried. I didn’t recognize the good boy in the video! It seemed effortless and natural for him. He looked calm, cool, and collected and that’s all because Melissa was as well.The amazement and pride did not end there. In the last week of Jaden’s stay, Melissa was ready to take Jaden out in public! He was able to practice walking on the leash, not giving into distractions, and ‘staying’ on command.When we went to pick him up after the exciting weeks, we had our own training session. Melissa went over everything with us in detail and was patient in training us! She brought him out after our lesson and he was a new dog. We went over everything she trained him on. And again, the amazement continued. We went to Lowe’s and ran through every thing he learned there. We were speechless. All we could and can still say is thank you so much, Melissa. It’s been 8 months since we got him back and it was, without a doubt, the greatest investment. Jaden is perfectly off-leash trained, listens very well, has the perfect core foundation and potential to keep learning new things. We couldn’t thank Melissa and sublime enough for our happy doggo. It means the world to us having our pets happy. They’re our babies and Melissa loved him like he was her own. He loves her as well and we always tell him miss Melissa would be proud of him!

We sent our wild, crazy, and stubborn Labrador puppy, Hazel, to Kayla at Sublime K9 for a week puppy training and then a 3-week board and train. Hazel has returned to us a much calmer and obedient dog who’s ready to work and play while being on her best behavior. Kayla sent daily updates about her progress throughout the training period, then took the time to walk me and my children through best practices for reinforcing and continuing her training at home. I cannot say enough good things about Kayla and the staff at Sublime K9. If you are remotely struggling in your training, just call them. It is well worth it! Night and day difference with our pup! I can’t say enough positive things about Kayla and Sublime K9 Training & Boarding, LLC. We are FLOORED at what a difference they made in Bentley. Kayla made sure that we had everything down before we left and answered all of our questions. To know that we have lifetime support puts us at ease as well. We live in Asheville, NC but making the drive to Jefferson City, TN was worth every mile. The time away from him was tough but knowing that our boy is trained so well made worth it ALL! We also had them groom our dog the day before picking him up and they did a great job with that as well. Highly recommended Sublime.

I am so pleased with Sublime. I love the staff and especially the trainer who has worked with my pet. I have my first Great Dane ever and learning as I go! My dog Kye first spent a week of puppy board and train, then went into regular daycare at the facility. At the age of 5 months he again returned to a 3 week board and train. Can not behind to express the difference they made with my parents black lab he was a big leash puller even had issues sometimes. To see have easy he was for my mom and dad to walk him after just 3 weeks was astonishing to say the least and the door manners they taught him. 10/10 would recommend this school to anyone with a dog that’s needs some basics or so specialized training

Sublime K9 gets 10+ stars! They helped us with puppy training for our large Bernedoodle and she just finished the 3 week board and train and it helped tremendously. Before walking her was a workout! We did a 3 week day train program with our high energy/high anxiety 2 year old Weimaraner. She went from (day 1) being so anxious that she twice jumped over the desk area to get back to me, to (by day 4) getting so happy and excited the moment we pulled in and not giving me a second glance at drop off lol. As a result of her training, I can now answer the door without fear of her bolting out or trampling guests, she is able to walk beside me for long walks without pulling or jerking, she’s now able to be around other dogs, and so much more. We are absolutely ridiculous about our dog and don’t ever leave her with anyone but family… after this experience, we are so grateful to know we have somewhere to go for training support, grooming, and daycare. 11/10 recommend!!!!

We are ever so grateful for our trainer Melissa at Sublime K9! Our puppy was reactive, never calm, and just A LOT before her 4 week board and train. We picked her up today, and she's a new dog. She's being trained as a diabetic alert dog, and with the wonderful behavior training at Sublime, she will be able to be scent trained for her service task without having to correct so much for behaviors. All the staff are kind and welcoming, and their services are invaluable!

Our rescue pup, Jessie, is set to be a big girl being a Pyrenees mix! So we wanted to get a head start on learning how to help her be the best version of herself. I highly recommend using Sublime! We have put both of our dogs through their day train programs and use daycare weekly. The entire staff take great care of our dogs and care so much for them. Field trips are a great add on- it’s a trip out for the dog but the best part is the distraction proofing that they are practicing in real life situations. They also provide great pictures to see what fun your dog is having!

We had always thought about getting two dogs but I was so nervous. Thanks to the help of Sublime we can safely handle two dogs on and off leash. We sent Presley through their puppy training and then the 3 week day train program. It’s worth every $ to have a reliable off leash recall, spending time off leash with our dogs at the lake is priceless. Sublime is always available for any questions and follow up training. We had never sent a dog for training before using Sublime K9. We are so pleased with the results of the 3 week program. Mia was 9 mWeonths old at the time of training. Mia is a female great dane. She came back to us a well behaved and extremely responsive dog with all commands taught to her. I can NOT recommend this place more!! Our puppy, Burrow, went there for training and came back a completely different dog! He would knock our 1-year-old baby girl down multiples times a day, and would run off while outside. They truly are miracle workers, and amazing at their job! We have never used a trainer for our dogs but when we adopted a new German Shepherd that was anxious and reactive, we knew we needed help in order for her to live her best life. Sublime K9 is a Godsend! We opted for the private lessons and Nichole was phenomenal! She taught us as much as she taught our pup! Kayla and the Sublime team truly care about the animals they work with! My dog Millie came in with basic commands, but we had issues with reactivity, fear of other dogs and people. I didn’t know how to help her through this. Sublime was able to to teach Millie and me the skills she needed to work through these triggers. Our training is never over, but we have the skills and know-how to go out in public with confidence! I’ll be sure to use them again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trainer!

I cannot say enough good things about Lauren and Sublime K9 Training & Boarding, LLC. My 2 year old yorkie was a 6 lb Tasmania Devil who thought she was 6ft tall and 100 lbs. She would chest bump and bully her 15 year old sister who is twice her weight and size. The few times I took her on outings, she was not well behaved and the car ride was awful. After attending the 4 week board and train with Lauren, Zoey is a new dog. She knows and obeys her commands although, she does not like down unless she is on a comfortable surface. She will sit and stay anywhere. She has been amazing on her outings. She does not continuously bark in a shrill tone while riding in the car. The only time she barks at people or animals is if she is startled. She will sit still and let me brush her hair. She does not bully her sister now. She will place for 45 minutes. Zoey has surprised and amazed me. The biggest surprise is when I have forgotten to place her when I sit down at the table to eat. She actually places herself. She also stays until I tell her to break. I am so shocked and excited at how much she has learned and become less wild. Zoey still has her spunk when she plays but she now has manners. Want to give a "shout out" to Sublime K-9 and Rocket's awesome teacher - Melissa (now Aunt Melissa)! Rocket is a pleaser, but like other young pups he needed some continuous training to work on staying, placing, heeling, and leaving it! Melissa definitely knows her stuff - a professional trainer indeed! After only a couple days she was sending videos of him "placing" and staying focused on her every command. She constantly communicated with us - text, videos, pics, and calls. To be able to take Rocket on long walks off leash - listening to commands, taking him along on outings and even having family/friends over w/o him jumping out of control - is totally worth the investment. Sublime has trained two of my dogs. They're wonderful. I recently had one do a puppy headstart. Nichole was good about keeping me updated on her progress. I love that they get to do the doggy daycare while they're training.

Our dog was a very reactive and scared of anything new. She is still scared but now she doesn’t bark and go crazy. We, including myself, have learned how to handle it and stay calm! And the “place stays” have been a game changer! My 6 yo can walk our 60lb dog and not get pulled down every time she tries! I could go on and on! We did put it off for awhile and looking back I wish we would have done it sooner! Everyone there is very nice and full of answers! Thanks so much Kayla and Nichole for working with us!! We would highly recommend!!

I give my highest recommendations to Sublime K9 Training for how well they trained my dog. My strong-willed dog is now extremely obedient, thrives under structure, and knows when and how to settle down. After struggling to train him on my own I was unsure if anyone would be able to train him, but after 3 weeks with this amazing team he knows how to follow command and I know how to work with him better. It has been a blessing to have brought him there!

We put our dog through puppy training and the on and off leash day training programs. It has made such a difference in a pup. He started out as a timid, shy pup and they turned him into a confident dog. We can take him off leash to the lake and parks where he can run free and he immediately comes back when called- even when there are distractions. He still gets super excited (typical lab), but he can work through that and follow his commands. Be able to eat in peace while you dog does a long place stay has made dinner time enjoyable and impressed everyone that comes over to visit. Also highly recommend their daycare- only daycare we have found that practices their training while allowing them to play and burn off energy.

I can't begin to express how happy we are with the training that Kayla provided to our pup, Tank. He spent 4 weeks with her for board/train and came home a new dog. We had never done this type of training and didn't really know what to expect but I will say (now) that I wish I had done it with our previous dogs. What a fantastic difference it makes! Thank you so much, Kayla!

My 7 month old goldendoodle completed a 4 week board and train with Lauren. I cannot recommend Lauren enough! Not only does she train your dog but she genuinely cares for your pup like her own and also makes sure you are always informed with daily updates. Couldn’t be happier with the results!

Sent our two Dobies for the 4 week board and train, and will definitely do it in the future with any new pups we get. Our pups were boarded and trained with Lauren and Michael, and they were amazing. We got daily updates with videos, showing how they were doing and what they had been working on. They also answered any questions we’ve had along the way, even after pickup. Will definitely board with them again in the future. Thank you again Lauren and Michael!

I just want to let everyone know that taking the dogs to Sublime K9 was the best decision we have ever made. Lauren took us through all of the training we needed to be good owners, and our dogs have shown so much improvement. If anyone needs to train, board or daycare for their dogs, Sublime is the way to go.

My 7 month old labradoodle completed a 3 week board and train with Lauren. I cannot recommend Lauren enough! My pup adores her and I had peace of mind with daily updates! All future pups will be trained through Sublime K9!!

My wife and I started our little Yorkie mix, Ellie, in puppy head start last fall. The lessons were very helpful and gave Ellie a good foundation of basic commands. Unfortunately she suffered from separation anxiety and had to be medicated in order to tolerate being alone for any length of time. This generated a lot of stress for us as well, feeling unable to do many day to day tasks. She just graduated the 3 Week Board and Train with Lauren and she is so much more confident and has even better manners/obedience. Lauren made the 3 weeks without our sidekick easier, sending thorough daily updates so we could see Ellie's progress. Lauren is great to work with, and we could tell that she gives each dog individual attention and plenty of love while under her care. Ellie's anxiety is now much lower, and she no longer freaks out when she can't see or be right with me or my wife. Medication used to be a daily necessity, but it hasn't been needed since the day we took Ellie to Lauren. We can't recommend Sublime K9 - and especially Lauren - enough.

I took my little mini poodle Ella Kate to Sublime for her basic puppy training...she is a super smart girl and I had worked with her from 8 weeks old and she knew most of the basics .the trainers here really worked so well with her in firming up her commands. Every class I went thinking this one will be a challenge (especially Heel since she was such a puller)...5 weeks of classes and Ella Kate and I both learned so much.She is a joy to walk now and loose leash walks with ease. Thanks to all the trainers for their dedication. We trained with Megan, Lauren and our last 3 classes with Ashlynn.. Highly recommend all of them as they are amazing

I cannot say enough good things about Sublime K9 - and specifically Megan and Kayla. Kayla was easy to communicate with and did a couple of lessons for my first dog who went through training. Megan did 3 week board and trains for my other two dogs at separate times. After my wild child puppy came back home with manners and listening ears, I knew I wanted Megan to train my final pup. I have been so impressed with what they have learned - and so happy to be able to maintain some order with three high energy Australian Shepherds. I have recommended Sublime K9 to so many people after sending my dogs through their programs.

We sent our puppy Ford to Lauren for some puppy training and we could not be more pleased! He learned to ring the bell when we wants to go outside, plus so much more, such as sit, place, lay, stay and walk with a leash. All of this was done in one week! Lauren showed us how to work with Ford to build upon what he has learned and made sure we were comfortable giving him the commands he learned.Lauren is very knowledgeable and always took the time to answer our questions. She truly loves dogs and has a special bond with them.

I am so happy I chose to place my trust with sublime k9 and their trainer Lauren! Astrid is literally the furry form of myself/my best friend. I have 2 very active kids in sports. Dealing with issues that happened between Astrid and another dog made it difficult to take her most places. With the help of Lauren and Kayla, I was able to talk and get a response within mins of my msgs. They made me feel comfortable with the decision to leave my fur baby in their hands. When I picked her up, Astrid was still her quirky/wiggle butt self but instead she was more mindful of her manners and had the basis on what to do in stressful situations!! I would rate more stars if Google allowed me bc they are awesome! And Lauren always went the extra mile for my Astrid!! I will definitely be taking other pets to them in the future and spread word of how great they are. You will not be disappointed!

Just wanted to say that Ashlynn has done an AMAZING job working with Ghost. He no longer is chasing the cats around the house 500 times a day, he is much more well behaved. When our 3 yo is eating and we put Ghost on place he stays there the entire time despite the activity going on in the house. He is completely distraction proof, to the point that when I tell him to stay, I can throw his favorite toy towards him and past him and he doesn’t move until I give him the command to break. The training was well worth the money spent!!!! Highly recommend Sublime K9 to all the people I know and have shown them the videos of the accomplishments Ghost has achieved.Before he came to Sublime for the second time I was honestly thinking I was gonna have to find him another home due to the issues he was causing and the kennel aggression he had and that broke my heart but you guys made it possible for him to continue to stay with us and I am grateful for that!!

Our sweet Lola had some past trauma that I was worried was causing some behavior issues. Lauren was quick to train ME and teach us the tools Lola needed to become successful. She gave us the tools and resources to help Lola become a happier pup, teaching us ways to manage her quirks and give her freedom and peace at the same time. Not all pups are the same and she taught us how to manage this odd little golden girl of ours! Thanks Lauren!

My daughter decided to surprise our family with a mini wire haired dachshund. We weren’t exactly prepared for a new puppy and we were having a terrible time house training her. We contacted Sublime K9 and after talking with Megan we decided to send Phoebe to a week of puppy school. She learned to sit, come, stay and potty outside 🙌🏼. We are so happy with all the progress Phoebe has made thanks to Megan and Sublime K9!

Awesome place to take your puppy. All the trainers are very knowledgeable and patient. I like that they can help you manage any issues at home with your puppy. Our puppy lessons have been very important with our 6 year old son. We have all learned and our puppy is much happier and obedient!

Bodhi graduated from behavior classes today! We worked with Megan and loved every class. She is very knowledgeable. The help we received from her is priceless. I would recommend Sublime k9 to anyone. We will use them again for any boarding and training needs we have. Megan was incredible and Bodhi really liked her.

Ashlynn was our trainer for our two 8 month old Bichon Frise brother and sister. We did a two week Board and Train program. Ashlynn was extremely professional, courteous and from day one put us at ease keeping our babies in her care. We are AMAZED at the results she was able to achieve in only two weeks! Before Sublime training, our 2-year-old rescue lab, Dawson, had no idea how to listen to us. He hadn't been socialized, and he had no concept of communication. Everything we tried failed. We were overwhelmed.Everyone who knew him before training couldn’t believe he was the same dog when they saw him again after. His trainer, Lauren, changed his life. We never dreamed she could accomplish all she did for him in just 3 weeks. Now he goes with us to farmer’s markets, festivals, pet-friendly stores, and friends and family’s homes.Anytime we hit a stumbling block, we can text Lauren. She’s always there to help us work through it! While Dawson was with her, she gave us daily updates with photos and videos. She helped him learn more than his basic commands; she also took the time to help him gain confidence with walking up and down stairs and jumping into vehicles, for example. Dawson’s new sister, Charlotte, will soon be spending her 3 weeks at “school” as well!I frequently recommend Sublime to friends, family, and anyone looking for a place they can trust with their fur baby’s future. This is the best investment you can make for your dog’s life, and you won’t regret the difference it will make in your own, either!

We did puppy lessons, basic lessons, tricks lessons and advanced lessons. Very knowledgeable staff. They did a great job with our dog Pepper! Most of our time was spent with Lauren and she is awesome! Highly recommend!

What’s not to like… I learned so much about how to train my puppy.. he loved going to training sessions he responded to commands that I wasn’t sure he would/or want to!!! Such a completely positive experience for both of us!
