Lauren worked at the Jefferson City Walmart for the last 15 years, the last 9 years in the Vision Center as an optician. While she enjoyed her job, she has always had a passion for animals but never had the chance to make them the focus of her career until now. With her husband, Michael, she opened a pet walking/sitting business, Adventure Pet. They have also expanded into making leashes and collars with their newest endeavor, Adventure Hound! In addition to caring for other people’s pups, she has 4 Weimaraners at home that became a handful a few years ago. Lauren signed all 4 dogs up for a 2-week board & train with Kayla. After experiencing the amazing results, Lauren was determined to not only maintain their training, but also to teach them new commands such as loading in the car by name!
Lauren then reached out to Kayla for a job and spent months shadowing her, learning more about the dog training process! Lauren has now been training full time for Sublime K9 for over a year! She has also received her CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) certification. Lauren lives in New Market with her husband Michael and the Weims- Jasper, Willow, Mumford & Violet, and two new additions, Oliver the Airedale Terrier and Ivy the Dalmatian!
